Get your trade business onto Motiv and through verification so work can start reaching you.

For trade and maintenance businesses

   Start the registration

   From the sign-up page choose “Supplier”, then “Continue as Supplier”. If a client company invited you, your link already carries an invitation token and you skip the review step entirely — that company is vouching for you.

   Enter your company and trade details

   You give your business name, contact details, the trades you cover and the areas you serve. Your service areas and trades decide which jobs you are shown for, so be accurate rather than generous.

   Business address

   Optional, but worth giving — it is what places you on the map, and homeowners see contractors nearest first.

   Sign the service agreement

   You read and accept the supplier agreement, typing your name as the signature. If Motiv publishes a new version later, you are stopped at a sign-off screen the next time you open the app and cannot work on any job until you have read and signed it.

   Upload your documents

   From Settings, upload your CIPC registration, VAT certificate, public liability insurance and trade qualification, as a PDF or a photo.

   The files are stored privately and only ever shown through links that expire after an hour — to you and to the Motiv review team, nobody else.

5. 5

   Wait for verification

   You can log in and look around straight away. A note on your dashboard tells you the account is being checked and points you to Settings, and your status shows next to your name as “Supplier · Pending” until it becomes “Supplier · Verified”.

   No work arrives until you are verified

   Motiv's team reviews your trades, VAT number, signed agreement and any documents you uploaded, then approves or turns down the account. You are told the outcome in the app.
